Never having gone through an Estate Sale before and being quite up in the air as what to expect, it was a very pleasant surprise when Jeff came up to talk to us and explain exactly how the process works. His explanation, positive attitude and expertise made us feel confident that we had made the right decision and had chosen the right company to conduct the sale. Everything was explained in detail and Beethoven's followed through and did everything they said they would. Everything was on time, professional, and well executed. Professional, honest, exceptionally hard working and know their business! I interviewed others, but chose Beethoven's as it just seemed to me Jeff really knew his business. Once they arrived he, Mike and the rest of the team carefully and thoroughly emptied out the contents of the home and put all out for sale. There were many items in my parents home that I was unaware of and instead of just selling things that may have had additional value or family significance they would come up to me and say, "Do you want to sell this? I've 76+ years old and often have boxes of books I need to get through the crowd to the check-out table, and someone invariably seems to be nearby to help me get them there. Your sales are really well-organized, too. Not too crowded or cluttered. I go to a lot of sales, far and wide in and near Fresno, and Beethoven is right up there with the best for reasonable value and superb administration, rain or shine. Don't really know where to begin. You handled the estate sale of my mother's property. As you know she died on December 10, 2013. Was considering doing it myself with a friend who has an antique store. After giving it some thought I was referred to you by my realtor. That was one of the best decisions I've made since my mother's passing. You were so kind and compassionate and simply did everything. You made sure that anything of a personal nature was given back to me. Your professionalism was amazing. You knew how to deal with a grieving daughter. When you posted everything on your web site it was complete, concise and the pictures were very good. When you set everything up and put price tags on the contents being sold you posted the new pictures on your web sit. Could not believe how well you displayed all the stuff that you can collect over a lifetime. Thought both of you had a degree in art or something. This was my first experience with an estate sale and I hope the last. If anyone is hesitating calling in the "professionals" don't. You do not want to do it yourself. Losing a loved one is always a very difficult experience. The aftermath becomes even worse when you must deal with the estate issues, especially by long distance. I always used to tell people that I grew up in a museum. My parents collected antiques, ornate furniture and unique furnishings for over 50 years. Their collection absolutely filled their 7,000 sq. ft. home. Even the backyard was decorated with antiques and similar décor. When the time came that we needed to sell literally a thousand items I was concerned about how we were going to be able to get that accomplished. As a real estate broker, Jeff and his crew had done estate sales for some of my clients in past. The homes of my client’s were wonderful, but the size of those estates was one tenth of what my parent’s sale would be. I felt comfortable with Jeff from the get go and he had a very simple and to the point way of explaining how everything would work on this highly unique sale. I appreciated that as I believe we don’t need to over complicate things when it is not necceary. He also professionally fielded all the questions I had and was also very open to my opinion as to what I felt the value would be on some of the extremely unique furnishings. On the preparation days leading up to the sale, the crew went through and priced things with great accuracy. And as to the items that needed some extra research or explanation of the history of the item, Jeff was willing to do the extra work necessary to sell those particular items correctly. He also told me that he felt very confident that everything could sell in two days and that I could expect hundreds of people to come by. I felt a bit skeptical upon hearing that, but I told myself that he is the professional and let’s watch and see. Well, the professional was 100% right. Hundreds of people came to the sale and in two days a thousand items were sold. Not only am I pleased with the results, but I am pleased with all who worked in the crew.
